Questions people ask before their first visit

How does the two-visit assessment work?

Visit 1 is your full consult, exam, and offsite x-rays if clinically needed. Visit 2 is your report of findings. We explain what's going on, give your first adjustment when appropriate, and outline a plan. You decide what to do next.

I'm worried I'll be pressured into buying a big package. Will I?

You stay in control. We explain what we find, show you options and fees clearly, and you decide. Many people just want the assessment and that's completely fine.

"Appreciate that their pricing is very reasonable, it's a main draw. They don't try to shove packages down your throat."

I'm nervous about neck adjustments. I've seen videos online that look aggressive.

Dr Mike and Dr Tao assess first with history, exam, and imaging if needed. We choose techniques that match your body and explain everything before we start. Adjustments happen only when you're comfortable and it's clinically appropriate.

I've already tried physio, massage and TCM. How is this different?

Most of those approaches target where it hurts. We assess your spine, hips and legs as one connected system to find what is contributing to the pain. That is why the two-visit structure matters. Visit 1 maps the pattern. Visit 2 addresses what we find.

Is $138 just for the assessment, or does it include treatment?

It covers both visits. Visit 1 is your assessment. Visit 2 includes your results explained in plain language plus your first chiropractic adjustment when appropriate.

How long should I allow for my first visit?

About 30 minutes. Enough time to listen, examine, and arrange x-rays if needed without rushing.

When will I start feeling better?

Many patients feel looser and more mobile after the first adjustment on Visit 2. Long-term improvement depends on what we find. We'll be upfront about realistic timelines during your report of findings.

Do I need a referral from a GP?

Chiropractors in Singapore are primary healthcare providers. You can book directly.

What if I can't commit to ongoing care right now?

The assessment stands on its own. You'll walk away with a clear picture of what's happening regardless of whether you continue. Some people start the same week, some wait months, some just wanted answers.

Where is Kirolounge?

390 Victoria St, #03-34 Golden Landmark Shopping Complex, Singapore 188061. Short walk from Bugis MRT, opposite Raffles Hospital.

Most of what you've tried focuses on where it hurts. Often that's not where the problem started.

You stretch. You get a massage. You take painkillers. It feels better for a while. Then after a few days, the stiffness is back and the ache down your leg returns. You're shifting how you sit just to get through the day.

  • Back pain that's really coming from tight hips
  • Leg pain or sciatica starting from a stiff spot in your lower back
  • Neck and shoulder tension when your mid-back is doing extra work
  • Knee or hip pain when you're walking differently to avoid something sore

When one part stops moving properly, other parts pick up the slack. Those areas get tired and sore too. That's why we look at your whole spine, hips and legs together.

"I used to get such a bad ache in my low back after a 5–8 km walk that I had to change how I put my feet down just to cope. Now I can walk long distances without compensating and I feel confident enough in my back to run again."

An adjustment helps joints that are stuck to move again

Many people feel looser straight away. Some feel mild soreness for a day or two, like after a new workout. We only adjust when it's right for your body.

Trusted in Bugis for root cause care

They were tired of compensating for their pain everyday. Now weeks, months or years of struggles, do not bother them any more.

"I used to get such a bad ache in my low back after a 5–8 km walk that I had to change how I put my feet down just to cope. Now I can walk long distances without compensating and I feel confident enough in my back to run again."

"Before I had bad posture, sleeping on my side, sneezing and going down stairs would all set off sharp tailbone and knee pain. After a course of care, I woke up with no lower back pain, my left knee feels fine on the stairs and I've been able to go for runs without it flaring up."

"I used to need the handrail and my hands to push myself up from the floor, and my knees hurt going down stairs. Now I can go down long flights faster without holding on, stand up without using my hands and I'm getting ready for my next trip feeling much more confident in my legs."

What most people notice after their assessment

Visit 1

Clarity. You leave knowing what's going on. Your posture has been assessed, your movement has been screened, and if x-rays are needed they've been arranged. You know what's driving your pain.

Visit 2

You walk out moving differently. Most patients feel improved range of motion immediately after their first adjustment. Shoulders drop, neck turns further, something that was held tight lets go.

Week 1

Your body adapts. Mild soreness for a day or two after your first adjustment is common. Many people also start their home drills and feel clearer about the plan.

Month 1

Progress builds. If you continue care, many people notice everyday movements feel easier. How fast depends on how long the issue has been there. We set realistic expectations at your report of findings.

Individual results vary based on how long the issue has been present and how consistently you receive care.

This is not for you if

  • You want a quick crack with no exam or explanation
  • You're only shopping for the cheapest visit with no interest in understanding the cause
  • You want surgery, injections or medication to deal with your pain
  • You rather spend more time researching and dealing with your pain every day than having it properly looked at by a professional

This is for you if

  • You've had pain for weeks or months that keeps coming back
  • You've tried massage, physio or TCM without lasting results
  • You want to know what's actually causing it
  • You want a proper assessment before committing to anything

"Fixed issues I'd lived with for 20 years. My posture's finally normal, and I feel the difference every day."
